Growing your own fresh fruit and nuts has to be one of the most satisfying things you can do in your own backyard or property! What’'s more, South Australia’'s Mediterranean climate enables us to grow the most intensely flavoured and nutritious tree crops in the world.

This workshop will explore different varieties of stone fruit, citrus, figs, apples, pistachios, pomegranates, jujubes and other crops, with the changing climate in mind.

The format for the afternoon will be a combination of a Powerpoint presentation detailing information about pollination requirements, irrigation, soil fertility, and crop protection as well as a pruning & grafting practical and an extended walk through the orchards.

This course is presented by Graham and Annemarie Brookman, on site at The Food Forest, a certified organic farm and permaculture education centre.

Once you have registered, more information about this workshop and what to bring etc, will be sent out via email closer to the event.
